48th Annual SCI/D Course: Advancing Recovery through Spinal Cord Assessment & Interventions

04/07/2025 – 04/08/2025
  • Early bird rate $400 through January 31, 2025. After, $450.

DESCRIPTION
This year’s course offers a comprehensive, hands-on approach to the latest assessment tools and interventions for enhancing outcomes in patients with spinal cord injury and disorders (SCI/D). Through a blend of expert-led lectures and practical workshops, participants will gain skills in key areas such as autonomic function evaluation, standardized assessments like ISNCSCI and ISAFSCI scoring and wheelchair skills training. The focus on standardization and clinical reasoning equips clinicians with a consistent framework for assessing and treating patients, ensuring that they can make informed, evidence-based decisions. By mastering standardized tools, clinicians can accurately evaluate patient progress and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. This structured approach, combined with clinical reasoning, helps clinicians adapt interventions to individual patient needs, leading to more precise and effective care. Sessions will cover critical topics like autonomic dysreflexia, respiratory function, and high-intensity training, culminating in specialized workshops on spasticity assessment, autonomic dysfunction, FES, KAFO lab training and functional mobility training.
