Some researchers at the Max N?der Center for Rehabilitation Technologies and Outcomes Research attended and presented this week at WearRAcon Virtual, a two-day webinar hosted by the Wearable Robotics Association.

The annual event, usually held in person, took on a slightly different format this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, transitioning to an all online platform. However its mission remained the same: to bring together researchers, developers, and consumers to (virtually) discuss the latest advances in wearable technologies, including exoskeletons that have potential applications in healthcare settings.

At the webinar, Dr. Matt Giffhorn, DPT, a physical therapist who conducts research within the Max N?der Center, discussed the latest updates on exoskeletons and clinical research. Dr. Giffhorn leads several studies focused on the use of lower extremity robotics for persons with neurological injury, such as stroke or spinal cord injury.

Dr. Jayaraman, who leads the Max N?der Center, serves as Director of Global Outreach of the Wearable Robotics Association. A of the event is available at .
