N?der Lab: Assessment and Monitoring of Neuromotor Function through Advanced Dynamic Pose Estimation
We will use videos of people with Parkinson's disease (PD) doing different things to develop sophisticated computer programs that can detect specific movement patterns that are only seen in people with PD. We will then see how well our computer programs can diagnose early PD, compared with medical and clinical professionals.
Research Project
COMPLETE: Wearable Sensor Platform to Monitor Stroke Recovery
This project proposes continuous monitoring, quantification, and interpretation of recovery during inpatient treatment of stroke using non-invasive, portable, real-time body-worn sensors.
Research Project
COMPLETE: Assessment and Monitoring of Neuromotor Function through Advanced Dynamic Pose Estimation
We plan to use videos of people with Parkinson's disease (PD) doing different things to develop sophisticated computer programs that can detect specific movement patterns that are only seen in people with PD.
Research Project
Wearable Sensor and Video Platform to Monitor Motor Development in Infants
The goal of this project is to develop an automated, precise, quantitative biobehavioral assay for detecting infants at risk, and then rigorously test an early-life intervention to promote typical motor movement and sensory development in those infants in a manner designed for uptake and dissemination.
Research Project
Researching Sensory-specific Peripheral Stimulation
The purpose of this research project is to understand the neurophysiological mechanisms of peripheral electrical stimulation (PES) in modulating tremors, sometimes seen in Parkinson's disease.
Research Project
Precision Medicine Originating From Patient Derived Neurons
This project studies precision neurotrauma medicine with patient-derived iPSC-neurons to determine patient specific factors affecting clinical outcomes
Research Project
Co-Robot Controllers for Human-Like Physical Interaction and Improved Motor Learning
This research project is working on improving the interactions between robots and humans by learning from human paired physical interaction to apply to human like robotics.
